Parents & Family Orientation Day
Parent and Family Orientation took place on Saturday, September 5, 2015. The program started at 9:30 a.m. and location information and further details were sent upon registration.
Please consider joining us for the next Parents & Family Orientation and Move-in Day, in Fall 2016, to learn about the opportunities, services and resources York has to offer.
The event begins with a welcome from senior administration and includes a student services information fair, a student play put on by our own Vanier College Productions (which showcases the first-year experience) as well as an optional session about financial aid.
Attendees also receive information about academic services, social activities, recreational activities, and facilities related to their student’s College, which will serve as their ‘home away from home’ while they are here at York.

Glendon Parents’ Orientation
September 5, 2015
Since parents, guardians, and families are an important support for students throughout their university careers, we offer this session to connect with them and answer their questions. Topics discussed include campus security, orientation, food services, student life, residence life, financial aid and OSAP. This session coincides with residence move-in day to allow as many parents as possible to participate.
Planning on attending? There will be two sessions offered: one from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and one from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

ORIENTATION POUR PARENTS

Les parents, tuteurs, et autres membres de la famille sont votre première source de soutien pendant votre carrière universitaire, donc nous offrons cette session pour se mettre en contact avec eux et répondre à leurs questions. Les thèmes abordés comprennent la sécurité sur le campus, les services alimentaires, la vie étudiante, la vie en résidence, l’aide financière et le RAFEO. Cette séance coïncide avec le jour d’emménagement en résidence pour permettre à tous les parents d’y participer. Planifiez-vous d’y assister ? Il y aura deux séances: une de 10 h 00 à midi, et l’autre de 13 h 00 à 15 h 00. RSVP en avance pour une des séances, avec le nombre de participants.
