In addition to knowing financial deadlines, it might be helpful to learn that students or family of students settle their financial accounts through their bank. If your bank account is setup for telephone or online banking, you may opt to do so. York University DOES NOT accept cash or cheques directly, payments will only be processed through the bank.

  • The company name is York University.
  • Your student’s student number is the account number.

If you are banking with a major Canadian bank (TD Canada Trust, RBC Royal Bank, Scotiabank, CIBC, or BMO Bank of Montreal), it may take up to four business days for your student’s financial account to reflect your payment. It may take longer if you are banking with other financial institutions. Please ensure you allow enough time between your payment and the due date for funds to be posted to your account.

International Students

If you are an international student, you may pay for course/program fees, residence, health care and UHIP charges appearing on your student account using the bank-to-bank transfer service.
